Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 19-4480
- Agency: means a county law enforcement agency established under the provisions of this act. See Kansas Statutes 19-4425
- Board: means the policy-making governing body of the agency with overall direction and control of law enforcement in any county adopting the provisions of this act. See Kansas Statutes 19-4469
- Department: means a county law enforcement department established under the provisions of this act. See Kansas Statutes 19-4425
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
The board of county commissioners of any county adopting the provisions of this act shall provide without cost to the agency such quarters and facilities as the board of county commissioners may determine after consultation with the law enforcement board. The board of county commissioners may construct or may acquire by purchase, condemnation or lease, buildings and facilities for the use of the agency and department in like manner as that provided by law for the construction or acquisition of public buildings for the use of the county.
