(a) Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 40-4901 through 40-4918, and amendments thereto, shall constitute and be known as the uniform insurance agents licensing act.

(b) Except as provided in Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 40-4906 and subsection (b) of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 40-4914, and amendments thereto, this act shall not apply to any excess and surplus lines agents and brokers licensed pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 40-246b, and amendments thereto.
