Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 44-913
- Boiler: means a closed vessel in which water or other liquid is heated, steam or vapor is generated or steam is superheated, or in which any combination of these functions is accomplished, under pressure or vacuum, for use internal or external to itself, by the direct application of energy from the combustion of fuels or of electric or solar power. - State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
This act shall be known and may be cited as the boiler safety act, and, except as otherwise herein provided, shall apply to all pressure vessels installed after January 1, 1999, and boilers in this state.
