Under the Kansas Statutes, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:Class | Prison | Fine |

Any county officer who prevents or prohibits any person who has complied with the provisions of this act from a proper use of the records of the office of the county officer as provided in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 58-2804, and amendments thereto, shall be deemed guilty of a class C misdemeanor.
