Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 8-127a

  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • Vehicle: means every device in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a public highway, excepting electric personal assistive mobility devices or devices moved by human power or used exclusively upon stationary rails or tracks. See Kansas Statutes 8-126

No vehicle, subject to the use tax imposed by section 4481 of the internal revenue code of 1954, shall be registered in this state without presentation of proof of payment of such tax, in such form as may be prescribed by the secretary of the treasury of the United States of America.
