Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 8-143d
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
The secretary of revenue may designate agents or contract with private individuals, firms or corporations to issue the licenses described in Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 8-143b and 8-143c, so that such licenses will be obtainable at convenient locations. No such contract with a private individual, firm or corporation shall take effect prior to July 1, 1978.
