(1) In any provision of KRS § 197.505 to KRS § 197.525 which requires the private provider or adult correctional facility to establish or implement a policy or procedure governing a particular activity or duty, the department shall first approve the policy or procedure before it shall become effective.
(2) Consistent with the provisions of KRS § 197.505 to KRS § 197.525, the department shall promulgate administrative regulations governing the standards, operation, and management of adult correctional facilities which may be contracted for pursuant to KRS § 197.505.
