Each applicant, at the time of making application, shall pay the following to the commissioner:
(1) Five hundred dollars ($500) as a fee for investigating the application to conduct business as a consumer loan company in Kentucky; and

Terms Used In Kentucky Statutes 286.4-440

  • Applicant: means a person filing an application under this subtitle. See Kentucky Statutes 286.4-410
  • Commissioner: means the commissioner of the Department of Financial
    Institutions. See Kentucky Statutes 286.1-010
  • Consumer loan company: means a person licensed under this subtitle to engage in the business of making loans to a consumer for personal, family, or household use in the amount or value of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) or less. See Kentucky Statutes 286.4-410
  • Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
  • Year: means calendar year. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010

(2) The additional sum of five hundred dollars ($500) as an annual license fee for each location for the period terminating on the last day of the current calendar year.
