For the purposes of KRS § 309.460 to KRS § 309.464:
(1) “Department” means the Kentucky Department for Public Health as established in
KRS § 194A.030;
(2) “Certified community health worker” means an individual who has been certified, in accordance with KRS § 309.462 and KRS § 309.464, by the department as a community health worker; and
(3) “Core competencies” means the knowledge and skills a certified community health worker is expected to demonstrate in order to carry out the mission and goals of the profession as defined by the department through the promulgation of administrative regulations in accordance with KRS Chapter 13A.
