(1) Every employer shall keep a record of:
(a) The amount paid each pay period to each employee;

Terms Used In Kentucky Statutes 337.320

  • Commissioner: means the commissioner of the Department of Workplace Standards under the direction and supervision of the secretary of the Education and Labor Cabinet. See Kentucky Statutes 337.010
  • Employee: is a ny person employed by or suffered or permitted to work for an employer, except that:
    1. See Kentucky Statutes 337.010
  • Sworn: includes "affirmed" in all cases in which an affirmation may be substituted for an oath. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
  • Transcript: A written, word-for-word record of what was said, either in a proceeding such as a trial or during some other conversation, as in a transcript of a hearing or oral deposition.
  • Year: means calendar year. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010

(b) The hours worked each day and each week by each employee; and
(c) Such other information as the commissioner requires.
(2) Such records shall be kept on file for at least one (1) year after entry. They shall be open to the inspection and transcript of the commissioner or the commissioner’s authorized representative at any reasonable time, and every employer shall furnish to the commissioner or the commissioner’s authorized representative on demand a sworn statement of them. The commissioner may require the statement to be upon forms prescribed or approved by him or her.
