- Pleadings: Written statements of the parties in a civil case of their positions. In the federal courts, the principal pleadings are the complaint and the answer.
Suits for the removal from office of any judge of a court of record for any of the causes specified in Article 9, Sec. 1 of thethe Louisiana Constitution of 1921 shall be brought and instituted, pursuant to Article 9, Sec. 5 of the Constitution, before the supreme court, by petition. The pleadings, citations and all the proceedings therein, shall be made and had as is now provided for, and practiced before, the district courts of the state in cases of usurpation in office, except insofar as may be otherwise provided in the constitution and by La. Rev. Stat. 13:5001 through 13:5006.
