Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 13:1371

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.

The clerk of the criminal district court shall receive an annual salary as established in La. Rev. Stat. 13:782(A) based on the applicable population of the parish according to the latest United States census.  This salary shall be paid by the city of New Orleans monthly beginning with Fiscal Year 1997-1998 and each fiscal year thereafter.
