- Employment service: means a person who for a fee:
(a) Offers or attempts to procure, directly or indirectly, employment for an applicant or candidate. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 23:101
- Person: means an individual, company, corporation, partnership, or agent thereof, including any person, as defined in Louisiana Revised Statutes 23:101
A person who acts as an employment service without a license as provided in this Part shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty nor more than one thousand dollars per violation, by imprisonment for not more than six months, or both.
