- License fee: means the privilege, tax, or fee imposed by this Chapter. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 32:401
Each application shall be accompanied by the proper license fee, and the license when issued shall be valid for the period prescribed in La. Rev. Stat. 32:412 unless revoked, cancelled, or suspended. Application for license shall be made to the department on a form and in a manner prescribed by the department. No license shall be issued until the application has been approved by the driver’s license division. No fee shall be collected from any child who is in foster care, as defined in Article 603 of the Children’s Code.
