- person: includes a body of persons, whether incorporated or not. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 1:10
- Plaintiff: The person who files the complaint in a civil lawsuit.
When the suit is brought by the attorney general of the state or by the district attorney under the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 42:76 on the relation or information of any interested person, the name of that person shall be joined with the state as plaintiff.
