- Adult: means an individual at least 18 years of age or an emancipated individual under 18 years of age. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 18-C Sec. 5-102
A guardian appointed under section 5-309 shall give to the adult subject to guardianship and to all other persons given notice under section 5-303 a copy of the order of appointment, together with a notice of the right to request termination or modification.
