Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 26 Sec. 3201
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Apprentice: means a person who is at least 16 years of age, except when a higher minimum age standard of 18 years of age is otherwise fixed by law or a sponsor, who is employed to learn an apprenticeable occupation that is approved by the department and who is registered with the Maine Apprenticeship Program. - Apprenticeable occupation: means an occupation that is specified by industry and that:
