Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 26 Sec. 838
- Employee: includes school personnel and a person employed by the State or a political subdivision of the State. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 26 Sec. 832
- Employer: includes an agent of an employer and the State, or a political subdivision of the State. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 26 Sec. 832
- Public body: means all of the following:

This subchapter shall not be construed to require an employer to compensate an employee for participation in an investigation, hearing or inquiry held by a public body in accordance with section 833. [PL 1983, c. 816, Pt. A, §20 (AMD).]
