- Emergency management: means the coordination and implementation of an organized effort to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to and recover from a disaster. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 37-B Sec. 703
It is the duty of every agency for emergency management established pursuant to this chapter and of the officers to execute and enforce orders and rules adopted by the Governor under authority of this chapter. Each emergency management agency shall have available for inspection at its office all orders and rules made by the Governor or issued under the Governor’s authority. [PL 2003, c. 510, Pt.
