- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The Michigan state fair authority created by Act No. 224 of the Public Acts of 1962, being section 291.21 to 291.37 of the Compiled Laws of 1948, is transferred by a type II transfer to the department of agriculture.
