- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
All powers, duties and functions of the state health commissioner under Act No. 147 of the Public Acts of 1963, being section 338.1301 to 338.1315 of the Compiled Laws of 1948, relating to sanitarians, are transferred by a type I transfer to the department of licensing and regulation.
