As used in this act:
(a) “Department” means the department of natural resources.

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Department: means the department of natural resources. See Michigan Laws 287.251
- Director: means the director of the department of natural resources. See Michigan Laws 287.251
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. (b) “Director” means the director of the department of natural resources.
(c) “Livestock” means cattle, swine, sheep, goats, or poultry located in this state.
(d) “Person” means an individual, firm, partnership, association, corporation, or other legal entity.
