As used in this part:
(a) “Motor oil” means oil used as a lubricant in a motor vehicle.

- Oil: means petroleum based oil. See Michigan Laws 324.16701
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. - United States: shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
- Used oil: means oil which through use, storage, or handling has become unsuitable for its original purpose due to the presence of impurities or loss of original properties. See Michigan Laws 324.16701
(b) “Oil” means petroleum based oil.
(c) “Recycle” means to prepare used oil for reuse as a petroleum product by refining, rerefining, reclaiming, reprocessing, or other means to utilize used oil in a manner that substitutes for a petroleum product made from new oil, if the preparation or use is operationally safe, environmentally sound, and complies with the law, rules, and regulations of this state and the United States.
(d) “Used oil” means oil which through use, storage, or handling has become unsuitable for its original purpose due to the presence of impurities or loss of original properties.
