Terms Used In Michigan Laws 324.5707

  • Freedom of Information Act: A federal law that mandates that all the records created and kept by federal agencies in the executive branch of government must be open for public inspection and copying. The only exceptions are those records that fall into one of nine exempted categories listed in the statute. Source: OCC
  • Office: means the office of the small business clean air ombudsman. See Michigan Laws 324.5701
  • Program: means the small business clean air assistance program. See Michigan Laws 324.5701
     Information obtained by the office or the program from small businesses that utilize their services shall be held in confidence by those employed by the office or the program to the extent authorized under the freedom of information act, Act No. 442 of the Public Acts of 1976, being section 15.231 to 15.246 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, including, but not limited to, those provisions pertaining to exemptions from disclosure for trade secrets and commercial and financial information.
