Terms Used In Michigan Laws 37.252
- Local governmental unit: means a school district, intermediate school district, city, village, township, county, authority, or other political subdivision of this state. See Michigan Laws 37.251
- Personal information: means 1 or more of the following:
(i) Social security number. See Michigan Laws 37.251State agency: means a department, board, commission, office, agency, authority, or other unit of state government in the executive, legislative, or judicial branch. See Michigan Laws 37.251
A state agency or a local governmental unit shall not deliver or cause to be delivered an envelope or package on the outside of which personal information is placed or on the inside of which personal information is placed that is visible from the outside of the envelope or package.
