Terms Used In Michigan Laws 493.20
- License: means a single license issued to a single place of business. See Michigan Laws 493.1
- Person: means an individual, partnership, association, corporation, limited liability company, or other legal entity. See Michigan Laws 493.1
- shall not apply: means that the pertinent provision is not operative as to certain persons or things or in conjunction with a particular date or dates. See Michigan Laws 8.4c
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
- United States: shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
This act shall not apply to any person doing business under and as permitted by any law of this state or of the United States relating to banks, savings banks, industrial banks, trust companies, building and loan associations, or credit unions, nor to any business transacted under any pawnbroker’s license.
