Minnesota Statutes 116L.01 – Definitions
Subdivision 1.Scope.
For the purposes of sections 116L.01 to 116L.17, the terms defined in this section have the meanings given them.
Subd. 2.Partnership.

- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.

“Partnership” means the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership created by section 116L.02.
Subd. 3.Board.
“Board” means the partnership board created by section 116L.03.
Subd. 4.Workforce development intermediaries.
“Workforce development intermediaries” means public, private, or nonprofit entities that provide employment services to low-income individuals and have a demonstrated track record bringing together employers and workers, private and public funding streams, and other stakeholders to implement pathways to career advancement for low-income individuals. Entities may include, but are not limited to, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, or the administrative entity of a local workforce development area.
