“Medical assistance agency” or “agency” means the state Department of Human Services when it provides a medical assistance benefit.
Subd. 3.Medical assistance benefit.
“Medical assistance benefit” means a benefit provided under chapter 256B to a person while in a medical institution. A “medical institution” is defined as a nursing facility, intermediate care facility for persons with developmental disabilities, or inpatient hospital.
