Terms Used In Missouri Laws 251.485

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

There is hereby established in the state treasury a special fund to be known as the “Missouri Main Street Program Fund”, which shall consist of all moneys which may be appropriated to it by the general assembly, and also any gifts, contributions, grants or bequests received from federal, private or other sources. Money in the Missouri main street program fund shall be used to carry out the provisions of sections 251.470 to 251.485 and for no other purpose. Moneys for main street programs established under the provisions of sections 251.470 to 251.485 shall be obtained from appropriations made by the general assembly from the Missouri main street program fund. Any moneys remaining in the Missouri main street program fund at the end of any fiscal year shall not lapse to the general revenue fund, as provided in section 33.080, but shall remain in the Missouri main street program fund.
