- Plea: In a criminal case, the defendant's statement pleading "guilty" or "not guilty" in answer to the charges, a declaration made in open court.
Any person who violates any provision of sections 301.010 to 301.440 for which no specific punishment is provided shall upon a plea or* finding of guilt thereof be guilty of an infraction punishable by a fine of not less than five dollars or more than five hundred dollars.
