1. Before a license shall be issued to any master plumber, he shall be required to file with the supervisor of the department of plumbing and sewer inspection a surety bond in the amount of two thousand dollars with one licensed corporate surety; and before a license shall be issued to any master drainlayer, he shall be required to file with the supervisor a surety bond in the amount of two thousand dollars with one licensed corporate surety. Said bond shall be subject to the approval of the county counselor and shall be given for the faithful observance of all orders and regulations adopted under the provisions of sections 341.090 to 341.220 for the protection of the public health and safety and shall indemnify the county or any person for any damage or injury sustained through the negligence of such plumber or drainlayer in performing plumbing or drainlaying work and shall indemnify any person for any damage or injury sustained resulting from the failure to perform plumbing and drainlaying work in a careful and workmanlike manner, in conformity with the provisions of sections 341.090 to 341.220 and the regulations adopted pursuant thereto and shall be conditioned that the principal in said bond will employ licensed journeyman plumbers or licensed journeyman drainlayers in the performance of plumbing and drainlaying work.

2. It shall be the duty of every licensed master plumber or journeyman plumber or drainlayer to show on demand his license to engage in such work to any inspector of the department of plumbing and sewer inspection. A person securing a drainlayer’s license shall not be permitted to do plumbing work or to install any plumbing equipment or facilities within the interior of any building and it shall be unlawful for any person to hold himself out or to represent himself to be a licensed plumber or licensed drainlayer without first having secured a license as provided by sections 341.090 to 341.220.
