Terms Used In Missouri Laws 389.730

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Missouri Laws 1.020

When any employee or other person shall be injured, maimed or killed, by reason of noncompliance with the provisions of sections 389.700 to 389.730, then in any action for damage which may be instituted against any railroad company, corporation or lessee for such injury, maiming or killing, proof of contributory negligence on the part of any employee or other persons so injured, maimed or killed, shall not relieve such railroad company, corporation or lessee from liability.
