Terms Used In Missouri Laws 571.230

  • Firearm: any weapon that is designed or adapted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive. See Missouri Laws 571.010
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Missouri Laws 1.020
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

Any person issued a Missouri lifetime or extended concealed carry permit under sections 571.205 to 571.230, shall carry the permit at all times the person is carrying a concealed firearm and shall display the permit and a state or federal government-issued photo identification upon the request of any peace officer. Failure to comply with this section shall not be a criminal offense but the Missouri lifetime or extended concealed carry permit holder may be issued a citation for an amount not to exceed thirty-five dollars.
