1. If the defendant pleads or is found guilty of a violation of a county ordinance, the judge shall declare and assess the punishment prescribed by ordinance according to his finding or verdict of the jury and render judgment accordingly and for costs, except that the punishment so assessed shall not exceed a fine of more than one thousand dollars or imprisonment in the county jail for more than one year or both such fine and imprisonment.

2. It shall be a part of such judgment that the defendant stand committed until such judgment is complied with.
