Any person who violates any provision of sections 701.010 to 701.020 is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not more than fifty dollars; except that no liability under sections 701.010 to 701.020 is created as to any person who is an employee of a contractor, subcontractor or other employer responsible for compliance with sections 701.010 to 701.020.
