31-4-125. (Effective January 1, 2024) Regulatory oversight — rulemaking. The secretary of state is authorized to adopt rules and other policies in overseeing the practice of litigation financing consistent with this part.

- Litigation: A case, controversy, or lawsuit. Participants (plaintiffs and defendants) in lawsuits are called litigants.
- Oversight: Committee review of the activities of a Federal agency or program.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201
