69-14-252. Accident reports. A railroad company operating any line of railroad within this state shall promptly upon the occurrence of any accident report the accident to the commission. The report must include the time and place of the accident, the names of any persons killed or injured, and the value of any property destroyed.

- commission: means the public service commission provided for in 2-15-2602. See Montana Code 69-1-101
- Property: means real and personal property. See Montana Code 1-1-205
- railroad: means a corporation, company, or individual owning or operating a railroad in whole or in part in this state. See Montana Code 69-14-102
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Montana Code 1-1-201
