71-3-118. Rights of inferior lienor. A person who has a lien inferior to another upon the same property has a right to:

- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
- Person: includes a corporation or other entity as well as a natural person. See Montana Code 1-1-201
- Property: means real and personal property. See Montana Code 1-1-205
(1)redeem the property in the same manner as its owner might from the superior lien; and
(2)be subrogated to all the benefits of the superior lien, when necessary for the protection of the person’s interests, upon satisfying the claim secured by the superior lien.
