Measure means an ordinance, charter provision, or resolution which is within the legislative authority of the governing body of a municipality to pass and which is not excluded from the operation of referendum by the exceptions in section 18-2528. Measure does not include any action permitted by the Nebraska Advantage Transformational Tourism and Redevelopment Act.
Terms Used In Nebraska Statutes 18-2506
- Action: shall include any proceeding in any court of this state. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
- Governing body: means the city council or village board of trustees of any municipality subject to the Municipal Initiative and Referendum Act. See Nebraska Statutes 18-2505
- Measure: means an ordinance, charter provision, or resolution which is within the legislative authority of the governing body of a municipality to pass and which is not excluded from the operation of referendum by the exceptions in section Nebraska Statutes 18-2506
- Municipality: means all cities and villages, not operating under home rule charters, including those functioning under the commission and city manager plans of government. See Nebraska Statutes 18-2507
