Terms Used In Nebraska Statutes 30-3923

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

(2) Sections 30-3901 to 30-3906 and 30-3916 to 30-3923 apply to proceedings begun before January 1, 2012, regardless of whether a guardianship or protective order has been issued.
