Terms Used In Nebraska Statutes 32-110

  • Elector: shall mean a citizen of the United States whose residence is within the state and who is at least eighteen years of age or is seventeen years of age and will attain the age of eighteen years on or before the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of the then current calendar year.   • Residence: shall mean (1) that place in Nebraska in which a person is actually domiciled, which is the residence of an individual or family, with which a person has a settled connection for the determination of his or her civil status or other legal purposes because it is actually or legally his or her permanent and principal home, and to which, whenever he or she is absent, he or she has the intention of returning, (2) the place in Nebraska where a person has his or her family domiciled even if he or she does business in another place, and (3) if a person is homeless, the county in Nebraska in which the person is living.   • State: when applied to different states of the United States shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories organized by Congress. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
  • United States: shall include territories, outlying possessions, and the District of Columbia. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
  • Year: shall mean calendar year. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
