Insolvent or insolvency shall mean that the health maintenance organization has been declared insolvent and placed under an order of liquidation by a court of competent jurisdiction.

- Health maintenance organization: shall mean any person who undertakes to provide or arrange for the delivery of basic health care services to enrollees on a prepaid basis except for enrollee responsibility for copayments or deductibles. See Nebraska Statutes 44-32,105
- Insolvent or insolvency: shall mean that the health maintenance organization has been declared insolvent and placed under an order of liquidation by a court of competent jurisdiction. See Nebraska Statutes 44-32,108
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
