Agent or insurance agent means any person licensed as an insurance agent by the department and duly appointed and authorized by an insurer to solicit applications for insurance and to discharge such other duties as may be vested in or required of the agent by the insurer.

Terms Used In Nebraska Statutes 44-4204

  • Agent or insurance agent: means any person licensed as an insurance agent by the department and duly appointed and authorized by an insurer to solicit applications for insurance and to discharge such other duties as may be vested in or required of the agent by the insurer. See Nebraska Statutes 44-4204
  • Department: means the Department of Insurance. See Nebraska Statutes 44-4207
  • Insurer: means any insurance company as defined in section Nebraska Statutes 44-4210
  • Person: shall include bodies politic and corporate, societies, communities, the public generally, individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies, joint-stock companies, and associations. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
