Terms Used In Nebraska Statutes 53-103.15

  • Common law: The legal system that originated in England and is now in use in the United States. It is based on judicial decisions rather than legislative action.
  • Generic label: means a label which is not protected by a registered trademark, either in whole or in part, or to which no person has acquired a right pursuant to state or federal statutory or common law. See Nebraska Statutes 53-103.15
  • Person: means any natural person, trustee, corporation, partnership, or limited liability company. See Nebraska Statutes 53-103.28
  • State: when applied to different states of the United States shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories organized by Congress. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
