Trailer means any device without motive power designed for carrying persons or property and being towed by a motor vehicle and so constructed that no part of its weight rests upon the towing vehicle. Trailer does not include an auxiliary axle or a car toter or tow dolly.

Terms Used In Nebraska Statutes 60-354

  • Auxiliary axle: means an auxiliary undercarriage assembly with a fifth wheel and tow bar used to convert a semitrailer to a full trailer, commonly known as converter gears or converter dollies. See Nebraska Statutes 60-310.01
  • Car toter or tow dolly: means a two-wheeled conveyance designed or adapted to support the weight of one axle of a motor vehicle while being towed in combination behind another motor vehicle. See Nebraska Statutes 60-314.01
  • Motor vehicle: means any vehicle propelled by any power other than muscular power. See Nebraska Statutes 60-339
  • Trailer: means any device without motive power designed for carrying persons or property and being towed by a motor vehicle and so constructed that no part of its weight rests upon the towing vehicle. See Nebraska Statutes 60-354
