As used in NRS 706.444 to 706.453, inclusive, ‘insurance company’ means any entity authorized to provide insurance for motor vehicles in this State, including, without limitation, a captive insurer, as defined in NRS 694C.060, and a person qualified as a self-insurer, pursuant to NRS 485.380.
