Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 176:10
- Armed forces: means the United States Army, Army Reserve, Navy, Naval Reserve, Marine Corps, Marine Corps Reserve, Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Space Force, Coast Guard, Coast Guard Reserve, Army National Guard, and the Air National Guard. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:50
- Person: means an individual, partnership, limited liability company or corporation. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 175:1
- United States: shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
Any person who served for not less than 90 days in the armed forces of the United States during “any war in which the United States was engaged, and received an honorable discharge from such service,” shall be given preference in appointment under the provisions of N.H. Rev. Stat. § 176:7, N.H. Rev. Stat. § 176:9, N.H. Rev. Stat. § 177:4, and N.H. Rev. Stat. § 179:59, if qualified for such positions.
