Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 236:44
- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
The state historic preservation office may enter into cooperative agreements with any town, city, or historical society to place an historic marker within the right-of-way of any class IV or V highway. The agreement shall provide for reasonable sharing of the initial expense and for the town, city or society to maintain and care for the marker.
