Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 281-A:3
- Employer: with respect to private employment, means:
(a) A person, partnership, association, corporation, or legal representative of a person, partnership, association or corporation who employs one or more persons whether in one or more trades, businesses, professions or occupations and whether in one or more locations. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 281-A:2
Any employer, not subject to the provisions of this chapter, may accept its provisions by purchasing valid workers’ compensation insurance applicable to the employment. Such employer shall thereafter be liable to all employees in the same manner as subject employers during the period when such insurance remains in force. During such time, employees of such employer shall be subject to the provisions and limitations of N.H. Rev. Stat. § 281-A:8.
