Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 33:6-c
- Municipality: or "municipal corporation" town, city, school district or village district. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 33:1
- Net indebtedness: all outstanding and authorized indebtedness, heretofore or hereafter incurred by a municipality, exclusive of the following: unmatured tax anticipation notes issued according to law. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 33:1
- United States: shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
Any municipality which has voted to acquire land from a United States military base may incur debt by the issuance of bonds or notes beyond the limit of indebtedness as set forth in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 33:4-a, provided that the purpose of the acquisition is to further the economic development of the municipality. Such debt shall at no time be included in the net indebtedness of the municipality for the purpose of ascertaining its borrowing capacity.
